The crowds have left, the dust has settled, and public interest has been piqued… after the dramatic launch of our Challenger line of homes this past weekend. As had been carefully planned, we assembled The Cube (an innovative, modern, two-story home designed by Winnipeg architect Ed Calnitsky) from four precision-built modules delivered by truck to the third floor of the Winnipeg Convention Centre—this leading-edge demo acted as the key draw for the Winnipeg Autumn Home Show. Three days later, we craned the modules back onto the trucks and left the building, as quietly and efficiently as we had entered.
Feedback from the 6000+ visitors to the show was enthusiastic to say the least—many found it hard to believe that a fully completed two-story house could be erected and launched as an attractive show-home in less than 48 hours. We were also pleased at the interest shown in this new approach to housing by the media (with reportage on CBC Radio, CJOB Radio, CFAM/CKMW Radio, CBC TV, Global TV, City TV, Shaw TV, and in the Winnipeg Free Press, and Pembina Valley Online), as well as other exhibitors at the show.
